Riot Survival Tips: 3 Ways To Establish Your Own “13 Hours” Escape Plan!

Kris Paronto Riot Survival Tips

Jeff AndersonIf you think the movie “13 Hours” doesn’t apply to you, think again…

Violent uprising or flash mob attacks like the Benghazi attacks can take place without any warning whatsoever (as many Americans have now learned).

In fact, we’ve seen violent protests turn multiple public events into bloodbaths in the last several months.

When extremists on both sides clash looking to get their street violence on, innocent people can easily be caught in the middle.

If you’re trapped, you most likely don’t have half a dozen badass operators coming to rescue you… so I caught up with my friend, Kris Paronto, and asked him for some of his best “riot survival tips” from his terrifying ordeal during the Benghazi attacks – and here's a summary of a few things we talked about…

3 Riot Survival Tips To Establish Your Own “13 Hours” Escape Plan For Flash Mob Violence!

Kris “Tanto” Paronto

What can you, as a civilian, do to establish a riot escape plan strategy ahead of time… and avoid getting trapped in the violence when it all goes to hell?

There are three things you need to be doing to establish an escape plan for wherever you find yourself that could be affected by flash mob violence.

1. Do Some Basic Recon

If you’re in an area or you’re going to an area that you’re unfamiliar with, study up a little bit.

I’m not saying that you’ve got to sit down and do a full map recognizance, like setting up little sand tables and army men like they do in Ranger school.

What I’m saying is that you shoudl get a feeling for what roads go in and out, where the alternative routes into and out of the area are, etc.

Nine times out of ten when there is going to be a mob protest, they’re coming from one direction, which leaves other routes out.

You just need to know all those various escape routes.

2. Pay Attention To Your Surroundings

The next thing you have to do is pay attention to what’s going on around you.

Most of the time, you can tell when things aren’t right.

People will move oddly.

Adrenaline starts pumping.

The pace of things picks up around you and people move more quickly.

When you get that feeling, don’t be a tough guy.

One against 50, I don’t care how bad ass you are, you’re going to lose.

That brings me to…

3. Just LEAVE!

I know that sounds like a no-brainer, but a lot of “sheepdogs” have a tendency to run toward danger instead of away from it.

Don’t try to be a tough guy.

There is no Batman.

Superman’s not coming for you.

You might be able to take two, or even three guys… but six? Twenty? Fifty?

No way.

Don’t make a big thing out of it… don’t make a production out of leaving…

If you run like your rear end’s on fire, you’ll start a panic and set off the mob, becoming a target.

If you are calm, cool, and collected, and you just ackowledge that it’s time to go, then you’ll get in your vehicle or get on your feet and get out of there.

Leaving means you’re not a target.

Paying attention, and knowing when and how to leave, is the least you need to know about establishing an escape plan for flash mob violence.

Sniper Training For Survivalists: Why Every Prepper Needs Long Range Shooting Training

Sniper Training For Survivalists: Why Every Prepper Needs Long Range Shooting Training

Question…

What do you think of when I say the word, “sniper”?

If you're like most people, you get that mental image of a soldier covered in a camouflage “ghillie suit” ready to pull the trigger on an enemy combatant…

…A tactical SWAT marksman ready to end a hostage-taker's stand-off…

…Or a clandestine spy positioned in a window, about to completely disrupt some country's political system with a single bullet.

But while YOU may not be some state-sponsored covert assassin, have you ever thought about why you SHOULD consider becoming a “sniper”?

If that makes you scratch your head a little, then let me share with you…

5 Reasons Why Every Survivalist Needs “Sniper Training” To Be Prepared…

Sniper Training For Survivalists: Why Every Prepper Needs Long Range Shooting Training
Sniper Training For Survivalists: Why Every Prepper Needs Long Range Shooting Training

1. Intelligence Gathering

As they say, “knowledge is power”, right?

Well, sniper tactics are as much about doing reconnaissance to gain valuable intel on an “enemy” as they are about precision shooting.

A sniper can't pull the trigger on just anything that comes into his crosshairs.

90% of the job is being able to detect, identify, and confirm targets, and developing these skills will make you far more aware during times when danger is around you and most people don't even know it.

2. Survival Hunting

In any kind of “collapse”, food shortages will hit within the very first few days.

It's a fact.

That means you're going to have to find food for you and your family – and you're only going to get 1 shot at that deer, rabbit, or squirrel that's 300 ft away in that corn field.

You better make it count… or you'll go hungry like the rest.

3. “Next Level” Marksmanship

At long ranges, every little mistake makes a BIG difference in how close your bullet hits to where you were aiming.
Sight picture… breathing… trigger squeeze… follow-through…

The training required to become “super-accurate” as a sniper can help you fine-tune ALL of your shooting skills – no matter whether it's a shotgun, rifle, or even a pistol!

4. Stealth & Concealment

A sniper's success doesn't just rely on his (or her) accuracy.

You have to be “sneaky”.

You have to be able to creep into an optimal position without being detected… become “invisible” in any surroundings (even urban areas)… and be able to haul ass out of a “hot zone” without leaving a trail.

Hmmmm… sounds like just the kinda skills that could prove helpful for escape & evasion when the sh*t has hit the fan and the “wolves” of our society are prowling around for helpless victims to prey on, eh?

5. SHTF Defense

If worse ever DOES come to worse, you know that your family's defense is going to entirely be up to YOU… and ONLY you!

Being able to hunker down in a safe location – and STAY safe – is going to require you to have someone standing watch 24/7 should some sneaky bastard start looking around for his (or their) next victims.

It's always best to assume that the “enemy” is armed… and in ANY firefight confrontation, distance is your friend.

Being able to engage an enemy (foreign or domestic) from 500-800 yards away will help ensure your own survival… and force them to find their loot elsewhere (if they're lucky enough to leave).

So hopefully this was all you needed to convince you that this type of training really IS useful for survival purposes.

So now, “what's next?”, right?

How To Get Started As A “Survival Sniper”…

1. You're gonna need a weapon. Sniper rifles can get pretty expensive and if you ever go to a gun show, you'll see them all the way up to about $15,000 or so.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure my dog would have my side of the bed on a permanent basis if I ever dropped that much on a rifle.

The sneaky trick used at these gun shows is to make the rifle “look” like a badass military weapon with a lot of inexpensive add-ons. In other words, they're selling the “look” so you feel like you're the next American Sniper.

I recommend (and have) a Remington 700 .308 caliber bolt-action rifle.

These come super accurate and reliable right out of the box and I've used it for hunting as well as long-range shooting.

Another option is an AR platform in .308 because it's a familiar “feel” and deployment as a standard AR-15.

(Note: More on your gun in a few seconds…)

2. Next, you're gonna need a good scope. These can also run you a ton-o-dough, but it's a very critical factor in sniping so the more can spend on it, the better… but don't go overboard.

I recommend a “FIXED variable” scope for long-range shooting.

An “adjustable variable” scope is one where you can adjust the sight picture very tight, which actually changes the power of the scope.

This allows you to get a very fine-tuned sight picture at varying distances, if you want it to.

However, a “fixed variable” scope has a fixed magnification so the power of the sight picture doesn't change.

That means you don't have to mess around dialing in the precise magnification when you’re trying to engage multiple targets… and for defense and survival purposes, that can mean the difference between getting a shot – or not!

3. Finally, before you go attaching all kinds of whiz-bang gizmos to your rifle, you're gonna want to get in some “super accuracy training”.

Don't worry… there's no need to shell out a few thousand dollars for some “tactical sniper school”.

One of the best training programs out there for dialing in “super accuracy” with a rifle is through “Project Appleseed” (www.AppleseedInfo.org).

This is a national non-profit “marksmanship heritage” group of volunteers using a standardized set of special skills for training youth and adults in how to achieve superior accuracy with a rifle – just like the American colonists who out-shot and defeated the British forces back in 1775.

I've attended their courses and put all my sons through it as well, and I can't say enough about the professionalism of this group and all of the volunteer instructors who help keep this patriotic skillset alive and well.

And the best part? The training is free!

Of course they're not going to give you actual “sniper training” because that's not what they're about, but it'll lay a strong foundation for what you need to take things to the next level.

Then There's Your Gun…

A buddy of mine is well-known in the firearms industry for showing patriotic survivalists how to easily build “underground guns”.

You can get his FREE DVD here for just the cost of shipping it to you.

Untraceable guns like this are often called “ghost guns” because they use a little-known “invisibility loophole” that doesn't require them to be registered with the government like other firearms.

Trust me, this is important…

You see, if there ever was ANY kind of crisis that triggered civil unrest on a grand scale, it's a very real threat that the government (federal or local) could impose a mandatory “gun confiscation” program to take peoples' guns.

Yes, I know this might sound like paranoia, but it's already happened during scenarios like Hurricane Katrina.

And I mean, just watch the news…

Personally, I think we're scary close to seeing more and more violent protests in the near future as we become further divided as a nation!

Are you seeing it too?

And with more mass-shootings and more gun-hating politicians taking office, anyone who is serious about their 2nd Amendment rights should be VERY afraid of the possibility of a knock on the door by a uniformed soldier with a clipboard, asking you to hand over your guns for the “greater good of the community” during a violent crisis.

So why take the chance?

Get equipped… get trained… and get prepared while you can.

Gatka: Combat-Proven Urban Survival Weapon “Sword Fighting” For Civil Unrest

Urban Survival Weapons

You’ve heard me say this more than once…

The best backup survival weapon – the one I even carried with me into combat in the military – is a machete.

I catch a lot of flack for that statement (especially from “gun guys”), but the fact is, when you run out of bullets… your gun gets confiscated or stolen… or it breaks down, you damn well better have a backup you can depend on.

But like any weapon, the machete is only as effective as the person who wields it, right?

That’s why I started training in “sword fighting”years ago.

And in my search for the ultimate sword-fighting system to train in, all I had to do was look at real world stories to see what would I could truly depend on under the extreme conditions of a collapse in infrastructure… civil unrest… and “mass attacks”…

Gatka: Combat-Proven “Urban Survival Weapon” Sword Fighting During Riots & Civil Unrest

Urban Survival Weapons

Gatka (pronounced gut'-ka) is a fighting system developed by the Indian Sikhs (pronounced ‘seeks’) thousands of years ago.

What’s unique to the techniques within Gatka is its double-blade tactics that are meant to defeat a mass attack – a technique that I teach in the advanced version of our “Combat Machete” DVD’s we talk about in our free survival weapons guide here

The unique spinning moves of this double-blade method create a virtual “human blender force field” around your body that can literally hold off any number of attackers.

This isn’t some fantasy mumbo-jumbo.

It’s been “combat proven” in real attacks – even in recent history…

The 1984 Riots – Amritsar, India

In 1984, the Prime Minister of India was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards who were part of an underground anti-government separatist movement.

In retaliation, the Indian Army tried to storm the Sikh holy site, the Golden Temple, and anti-Sikh mobs all across India roamed the streets attacking any Sikh man, woman, or child they could find.

The death toll during the civil unrest is estimated to be up to 8,000.

But the Sikhs’ Gatka warriors weren’t going to lay over and die without a fight…

At the holy Golden Temple, a single Gatka warrior stood at each of the four entrance doors with their two swords, swinging them using their unique double-blade tactics as the Indian Army tried to gain access.

Not one soldier got within 10 yards of any one of the entrances!

But wait until you hear this…

At the same time, out on the streets of Delhi where rioters were carrying out mass beatings and killings, an 80-year old man was attacked while riding his scooter by an anti-Sikh mob of 3,000 people.

When the police arrived at the scene, the attackers fled.

One of the officers who came upon the attack reported…

… “All I could see was an old man, standing sword in hand, and numerous dead bodies lying around him.”

What does this mean for you?

Well, we’ve already seen how quickly mobs can form and attack in the aftermath of a crisis or collapse, haven't we?

While I’m a firm believer in firearms for survival scenarios, they have their limitations and there are times when they’re actually not the best weapon for the job.

That’s why I trust my machete – essentially an “urban survival sword” – as my primary backup.

Not only does it never jam or run out of bullets… but it’s a supreme deadly weapon in the right hands – especially when I’m armed with both of my machetes and use the “human blender” technique I mastered in my Gatka training.

I can show you how to master the machete and other survival weapons here

Using the system I’ve developed over 2 years (blending Gatka, Haitian, and African fighting systems, as well as my own techniques), I’ve found a way to show ANYONE how to quickly become a complete badass with the machete.

And yes, that includes even more “advanced” methods such as the double-blade technique covered in “Combat Machete 2”.

I highly suggest you start with our free survival weapons guide now and see for yourself how easy my Gatka-based system is to master.

It takes very little practice once you learn the basic principles (I can show you how to master them in only 7 days) and the skills flow so easily that you never seem to lose them at all – they’re always there, ready to defend you and those you love when things get “extreme”.

5 Steps To Prep For A N. Korea “Nuke Attack”

Korea nuke attack

Like me, many of you can still remember it…

…the monthly drills in school where we were instructed to hide under our desk in order to protect our precious craniums from the effects of a nuclear blast.

These drills went away as world leaders with nuclear capabilities began to fully comprehend the long-term devastation a radioactive wasteland would have on everyone’s way of life – including the tee-times of the high and mighty.

But when you watch the news coming out of North Korea, you can see that things are getting really, really dangerous.

Before, we had Kim Jong Un celebrating North Korea's inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) tests,

The North Koreans have missiles capable of reaching deep into the guts of American soil , so how long do you think it will be before our kids are once again desk-diving in preparation of a nuclear attack?

With Kim Jong Un's recent health problems, people are also speculating that he's no longer in full control (or that he might even be a “body double”)… and his crazy sister is getting more and more aggressive with South Korea and the “hermit nation's” other neighbors.

The fact is, as much as we don't want to admit it…

We’re Just One Red Button Away From A Downpour Of “Black Rain” Fallout!

Korea nuke attack
Steps To Prep For N. Korea Nuke Attack

It wasn't too long ago that we interviewed nuclear watch-dog, Joel Skousen, about the true “no b.s.” threat of a Russia or China strategic nuke attack.

Back then, North Korea’s elderly leader was still on a relatively short leash.

Not anymore.

With daddy dead and gone, #1 son, Kim Jong-un went on a power-hungry tantrum trip to show the U.S. that he could play with the big boys.

Then, he disappeared for a while… and when he resurfaced, surprising the world by being “still alive,” his sister was always in the background, looking on “adoringly.”

Trust me folks, this ain’t your typical political posturing or harmless sabre-rattling we’ve seen from countries in the past.

The North Korean leadership, whoever it is, is bat-sh*t crazy… and experts have warned that they couldn’t care less about the consequences of pressing the button that could end life as we know it in a matter of just a few hours.

Our government knows this is true, which is why we’ve been running military drills with nearby South Korea and elements of our nuclear fleet of ships and subs have been positioned for fast-action in the region.

But “nasty tweets” and military might only serve to tease the bloated “leader” into one-upping us with new nuclear tests to show he’s serious… and capable of carrying out his threats!

(Plus, we have NO IDEA what motivates his sister.)

And my friend… I truly believe this IS serious!

We could be looking at a nuclear attack a decade from now… a year from now… a month from now… or NEXT WEEK!

No one really knows – but failing to take action now is only putting your HEAD in the sand… and your FAMILY in danger.

Now, I’ll shoot straight with you…

If you’re located in the direct blast area of a nuclear missile, nothing short of an underground bunker is going to save you.

Fortunately, the REAL threat most Americans will face is from the 2-3 weeks of “black rain” nuclear fallout that comes AFTER the blast – and this is something you CAN survive (quite easily actually – if you take just a few simple precautions.)

I’ve already prepared my family for what may come – and here’s a quick “cheat sheet” at how YOU can prepare too…

1. Food

I’ve always said that it’s best to have a good 1 year’s supply of “survival food” hidden away in plastic kits for a crisis.

But to get started, be sure to have at least a 1-month supply for every member of your family that you can have on standby if you have to shelter-in-place following a nuclear attack.

I like survival food packs the best because not only do they have a 25-year shelf-life, but they also travel much better than heavy canned goods if you need to bug-out of your area.

2. Water

Even more important than food, is your ability to gain access to clean, drinkable water.

(Your tap water will eventually be contaminated until clean resources can be made for citizens.)

As soon as you hear word of an attack, isolate and protect your home’s current water sources — such as turning off the intake pipes to you hot water heater and filling up a tub with the currently safe water.

Stocking up on bottled water (or having a large container you can fill up) is another option.

3. Medical

Hospitals will be overrun with wounded and those suffering from not protecting themselves against the radioactive fallout.

That means you had better prep now to “be your own doctor”.

Basic first aid skills and a stockpile of any necessary prescription drugs will help, but for a nuclear attack, I also recommend you pick up some Potassium Iodide tablets.

It’s not a “magic cure” for radiation exposure, but it will help to protect your thyroid from radioactive absorption following an attack.

4. Air

This is probably the most overlooked factor in surviving a nuclear disaster.

Once the air is contaminated with fallout, there will be nowhere to hide – or breathe – for most people.

But you’re not “most people”.

The secret is to seal off an area of your home to keep the fallout outside… and not die of lack of oxygen at the same time.

This is pretty easy to do with a “clean air generator” that filters out the contamination from the breathable air your family needs to stay alive inside your improvised “fallout shelter”.

5. Shelter

I’m guessing you probably don’t have an underground shelter in your backyard, right?

No worries… most people don’t… and it’s really not necessary.

As I said earlier, it’s really easy to create your own improvised fallout shelter inside your home if you know how.

(The details are too long to get into here, but that podcast outlines the basics.)

Do this for yourself and your loved ones, and don't get caught unprepared!

Urban Escape & Evasion Driving Tips: Father Attacked By Gang In Car!

Urban Escape And Evasion Driving

The young husband and father was just minding his own business as he was driving home from work one night…

It was dark out – especially on the remote New Mexican desert road – and he barely noticed the car coming toward him in the opposite lane because its lights were completely off.

As a “common” courtesy, he flashed his lights to let the other drive know he needed to turn his headlights on.

Looking in his rear-view mirror, he saw the car turn his lights on.

But What Happened Next Was Completely Unexpected… And Nearly DEADLY!

Urban Escape And Evasion Driving

The other vehicle suddenly did a split-second U-turn and began picking up speed to close in on the father’s bumper.

Veering into the opposite lane and stepping on the gas, the vehicle pulled up alongside as a passenger in the back seat thrust a handgun out the window and fired at the father who simultaneously slammed on his brakes to avoid a crash (and a bullet)!

Fortunately the other vehicle didn’t pull back around for a second shot and sped off down the remote highway.

This scenario could have spelled D.E.A.T.H. for a loving husband and father who was only trying to be an friendly driver – and is a good example of why YOU need to add “escape & evasion driving” to your survival toolbox…

This was a true story I discovered in my rough “armpit” of a town I lived in during my time in New Mexico where local gangs (we had 4 of them – and they were rough!) ruled the roads.

These gangs would initiate new members by driving around with their lights off.

The first oncoming car that flashed its lights as a “friendly heads up” would become the “target car”.

The gang would circle around and the new member's role was to shoot at the car…

…no matter WHO was in it!

These are very real scenarios that you MUST prepare for… as well as others…

For example, what if you were:

  • Harassed on the road by a group of thugs on a drunken joy ride?
  • Being chased by a fuming driver on the highway who you mistakenly cut off and he's trying to run you down?
  • Trapped in an urban area during civil unrest as anarchists stop cars and attack drivers?

Now “evasive driving” DOESN'T mean you have to have a fast car and go to bodyguard school.

In fact, here are 4 tips you can master right now for “escape & evasion” driving skills when you're being chased by a car full of attackers:

1. “Speed” is not necessarily your friend

The one who survives a high speed car chase isn't usually the fastest, it's the one who doesn't crash.

Watch those idiots being chased by police on shows like “Cops” and those crazy “caught on video” shows and you'll see that all the police have to do is follow the perp until he wraps himself around a telephone pole and then put the cuffs on him.

In a chase, try not to travel over 65mph to make sure you can handle your car effectively on the turn of a dime.

2. Turn when they can't

Rather than try to outrun someone, let them get close enough to you and then take a quick, last minute turn in a different direction.

Action is faster than reaction.

If they're behind you, they won't be able to respond in time to take the same turn you just did.

They'll either crash or have to back up to follow you and by then, you'll be long gone.

3. If on a highway, take a 4-lane exit

If you're being chased by someone on the highway, identify an upcoming exit and move to the far LEFT lane.

With your pursuer close behind you, make sure you have clearance and at the last minute, shoot across all 4 lanes to barely make your exit.

It will be difficult for them to back up, especially in the left lane against traffic, to follow you.

4. Distract the driver

This is one of my favorite tricks…

If you're driving at night, reach under your seat and pull out a 2- to 5,000,000 candlepower spotlight. (You can get these from any boating or auto store.)

Shine it behind you at the driver and you'll instantly blind him.

He'll likely stop the car out of sheer panic of crashing (which he may do).

These are just a few of the tricks you can use to escape from someone while you're in your vehicle.

For even sneakier tactics, there's a whole section on “survival driving” in our “urban escape and evasion” manual you can see here…

It's loaded with tactical strategies not just for driving, but for dealing with ANY situation where you're targeted for an attack by a group of people during collapse, riots, civil unrest, and martial law.

Unfortunately, these type of events have become more and more common… and most people have no idea how to survive these scenarios.

Don’t be one of them.

Shameless Looters! What They Did In This 89 Y.O. Woman’s Home Will P*ss You Off…

Home Looting Hurricane Harvey

89 y.o. Michelle Poche had trouble getting around so she insisted on ignoring the evacuation order to stay in her home when Hurricane Harvey hit her local area.

Her neighbors stayed behind as well.

Their goal was to protect their home and also be there for the elderly Michelle if she needed anything.

After the storm and flooding, one of the neighbors waded through the waters to go check on her.

What did they find?

The senior citizen had drowned… with her phone after just dialing 911.

But that wasn’t all they discovered, and…

Most People Aren't Prepared For What Neighbors Found Waiting In This 89 y.o. Woman's Home…

Home Looting Hurricane Harvey
What's The Best Way To Defeat Looters After A Disaster?

Of course, “death” is as bad an ending as you can get to this heart-wrenching story.

Especially given all the rioting and looting we're seeing now, I thought this story was worth recounting.

An elderly woman… all alone… watching the waters slowly rise in her home.. desperately dialing for help that will never come!

But there's a deeper, more disgusting element to this story that offers a valuable lesson in what to expect in the after-effects of any kind of disaster or crisis…

You see, her entire home had been ransacked by looters who took whatever valuables they could find while the dead body of the 89 y.o. woman floated right next to them in 4 ft. of water!

Having personally seen the direct results of disaster 2 years ago (where we lost 12 men, women, and children when a 50’ wall of water flooded our little town in the early morning hours), I can tell you there are 3 things you can count on

1. Neighbors will “try” to help neighbors.

Most people really DO have the best of intentions.

Sadly though, when it comes to life-or-death decisions, it’s “everyone for themselves”.

It’s best to pull together and face a crisis as a “team” – but you can’t count on it.

2. Looters!

They have no morals… no fear… and their only goal is to take advantage of the “sheep” of our society during hard times.

If you appear weak, they will target you.

Dead or alive.

With law enforcement taking part in rescue missions, there will be no rule of law to hold them accountable.

3. Everyone can FAIL you!

Your 911 call will go unanswered… or fall on deaf ears.

98% of your fellow citizens will be unprepared for even the smallest disaster.

During catastrophic scenarios, first-responders will be forced to do the best they can to rescue those who are trapped in cars… attics… on top of homes…

… and for many – like for 89 y.o. Michelle Poche – help will come too late.

Bottom line is this…

During ANY disaster or crisis, the only one who can look out for you… is YOU!

Not your neighbors… not the police… not the government.

When it’s life-and-death, it’s a dog-eat-dog world and it’s YOUR eyes your loved ones will be looking into for saving.

Unfortunately, most people (even experienced “preppers”) don't understand the right way to set up your survival plan based on real-world scenarios.

There's frankly too much “fantasy survival” crap littering the internet and steering people in the wrong direction.

Make sure you're not falling for all the “zombie survival b.s.” when putting together your plan, and just take it one step at a time.

You'll get there. 🙂

Rally Your Family In An Emergency: Survive An “Instant Disaster”

Rally Your Family In An Emergency: Survive An "Instant Disaster"
Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson, Editor

One of our biggest concerns as preppers is, what if an event happens and I’m not near my family?

Because that’s most likely what’s going to happen.

You're going to be at work (once this pandemic is over).

Your spouse is going to be out, either at work, running errands, or whatever (once people do that again).

The kids are going to be at school (once schools open up again).

If an emergency happens, how do we rally our families when the grid is down, when the cell phones aren't working, and your loved ones are separated from you and from your survival location?

I talked to survival expert Jonathan Hollerman about this issue, and here is a summary of the advice he gave me.

How To Rally Your Family Together In An “Instant Disaster”!

Rally Your Family In An Emergency: Survive An "Instant Disaster"
Rally Your Family In An Emergency: Survive An “Instant Disaster”
Jonathan Hollerman

You'd be surprised to learn just how many people are prepared.

They have food stores, they have water, they have purifiers.

But they never focus on different scenarios, especially if they're separated from those supplies.

Communication is the key!

You've got to plan it out ahead of time.

Here are three tips for rallying your family in an emergency:

1. Have A Written Plan Of Action For Multiple Scenarios

The first thing you have to do is make a plan and WRITE IT DOWN.

Writing down the plan makes it possible to refine it and to teach it to all the members of your family.

Don't just pay lip-service to it.

For every likely issue you might encounter, have a written plan.

Consider what could come up and plan out your family's response to it.

Do NOT have a family conference about it, however.

The heads of the household should draw up the plan and and share it with the dependents.

This isn't a vote.

It's a plan that you impart to your dependents.

2. Know Your Kids' Plans

Because you can't predict when an emergency will occur, you have to be flexible.

If your family isn't together when an emergency takes place, you have to know where to find your loved ones and plan ahead for what they'll do.

This will allow you to react accordingly.

For example, what will your kids' school(s) do in an emergency?

How will you get your kids home, and where can you expect to find them?

Understand how those logistics will work and plan it out.

That way, you can work to get all your family members together in the same place based on the starting points they'll each have.

3. Have a Fallback Plan

You know that old saying, “no plan survives first contact with the enemy?”

Well, every plan can go wrong.

Most of them will, in fact.

You've got to plan ahead for when things go wrong, because in an emergency, anything that CAN go wrong probably will, and at the worst possible time (as Mr. Murphy likes to say).

Make sure you have a fallback plan if all else fails, or if the emergency scenario doesn't fit any of your other drawn-up plans.

As part of this, you must have a specific rally point.

That rally point allows you to know that, no matter what else, there is one specific place to find your family members in an emergency.

But your family can't get to the rally point if they don't know what it is, and they aren't certain they're supposed to go.

As in all things, plan out your family's survival BEFORE an emergency strikes!

3 Critical Steps To Take NOW To Survive A Grid-Down Blackout Collapse!

Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson, Editor

You take it for granted every day, and you depend on it for EVERYTHING.

It is ELECTRICITY, and with our fragile electrical grid essentially held together with duct tape and hope, it’s only a matter of time before we experience another widespread blackout like the Northeast United States did just a few years back.

What’s worse, terrorists have figured out that our grid is a point of vulnerability — and we’ve already seen what may be the first tentative steps to target our electrical grid for destruction.

When a grid-down blackout strikes there will be many factors you’re going to need to plan for in order to avoid being one of those 281 million Americans who won’t survive…

…but there are three you had better get on RIGHT NOW (and yes, I know we're all in lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic… but this is very serious food for thought).

Here is a summary of advice given to me by survival expert Jonathan Hollerman when we talked recently…

The Three Most Critical Steps YOU Should ALREADY Have Taken To Prepare For A Grid-Down Blackout Collapse!

Jonathan Hollerman

A long-term loss of the electric grid will be infinitely harder to survive than a massive financial collapse, for instance.

Outside of the financial collapse, it’s also the MOST LIKELY thing to happen in our future.

In the best-case scenario we’re looking at a minimum of SIX MONTHS without power, more likely a year or two, and at that point our country will probably have lost 80 to 90 percent of its population.

There’s no plan of action that the military or DHS can put into effect to feed 300 million Americans without the electric grid, and people need to understand that.

That means you’ve got LOTS of prepping and stockpiling to do… but it also means there are…

3 Critical Grid-Down Blackout Survival Planning Tips You Should Already Be Doing…

Okay, let's take them by the numbers.

There are more things you should be doing to survive for a grid-down blackout collapse, but these are three of those most critical ones.

First of all…

1. Don’t Tell ANYONE That You’re A Prepper.

It's natural to want to talk about prepping.

After all, we naturally want to discuss what interests us… and we may feel we owe it to our friends and neighbors to explain to them the need to prepare.

The problem is that if people know you are prepared, they know you have supplies…

…And that means your doorstep is the first one they're going to show up on if things go crazy and they need to survive.

Don't expect your friends to stay your friends during social chaos.

They'll ask… and beg… and finally, they may resort to violence to take what they want.

Make your prepping a closely guarded secret.

That way, none of your neighbors will come looking to kick in your door when they are starving and desperate.

2. Store Enough Food And Water For 1 YEAR.

If you can't eat and drink, no amount of gear in the world will help you survive a crisis.

Only having adequate stores of food and water will see you through the worst of it.

Our government recommends preparing for a few days to perhaps a week.

In a long-term survival situation, that's going to leave you thirsty, starving, and desperate.

You have GOT to be preparing for more than just a few days.

A grid-down crisis could go on for MONTHS.

Keep that timeline in mind and make storing food a constant, revolving process.

3. Make Sure You Have Protection, And I Don’t Mean Just Physical Shelter.

You’ve got to have weapons and supplies for fighting off the human predators that your neighbors will become when they are starving and looking to stay alive.

You may think it can't happen to the people you know.

You may think the folks who know you're a prepper would NEVER turn on you.

The harsh truth is that they can and they WILL.

When people are desperate to live, they'll do almost anything to ANYONE.

That includes you.

Your survival stores must therefore include the weapons, ammo, and other gear you can use to fight off hostiles who want to take what you have.

Don't put off your prepping.

Don't tell yourself it can't happen to you.

See to these three things NOW, before the next crisis hits.

You need all the time you can get to be ready.

Survival Medicine: 4 Deadly Diseases Unleashed In A Disaster… And How To Treat Them!

Collapse Survival Medicine Tips

It was the deadliest disaster since 1928…

Hurricane Katrina hit an area of approximately 90,000 square miles and resulted in the displacement of approximately 1 million citizens.

We all know of the horror stories these “refugees” faced in the Super Dome (theft, violence, even rape and murder!) but few people realize the horrific health problems that ripped through families because of all the sewage, chemicals, and other contaminants that polluted every drop of water in the area.

Here are some secrets that will help you avoid…

The 4 Deadliest Diseases You And Your Family Will Face During A Disaster…

Collapse Survival Medicine Tips

When it comes to “disaster diseases”, the biggest threats don’t come from dead or decaying bodies or spoiled food.

They mainly come from the complete FAILURE of basic public-health services like sewage disposal and water purification.

And it can come from ANY disaster – not just hurricanes or flooding – even just a major blackout power outage (I’ve seen this during combat when sanitation workers aren’t able to get to work).

No power means no air conditioning… no fans as back-up… no refrigeration to keep life-saving medicines stable… and no open pharmacies to dispense medications.

No transportation means no access to hospitals – and during Katrina, even the people who reached them found that many had no power, no supplies, and no water to drink.

Without these basic infrastructure services, medical care goes back to the 1800’s and you and your family are prone to illness from:

E. Coli Contamination

E. Coli is a very common bacteria that can have devastating effects – including diarrhea and severe cramping – especially for those already weakened by malnutrition and dehydration.

Normally, washing your hands and food can prevent exposure, but disasters aren’t “normal” and everything you touch can be laced with fecal matter – even in your home if sanitation services stop.

Dysentery

I remember getting Dysentery when on a mission in Honduras many years ago from drinking just 1 cup of what I “thought” was safe water.

I was wrong (BIG TIME!) and thought I was going to die because there wasn’t even a hospital in the area I was at (kind of what you might experience in a real disaster when medical help is over-strained, eh?).

I managed to pull through… but trust me, you DON’T want to experience this problem where it’s hard to even keep water inside your body!

Cholera

In some cases, you can be exposed to the germ “Vibrio Cholera” and diarrhea can be so uncontrollable that you or someone you love could literally go from “perfect health” to DEATH in just a matter of a few hours from severe dehydration!

Actually, we rarely see cholera in the United States because we have proper-working sewage and water treatment systems.

But remember… during a disaster or collapse, these protective systems go down and germs run rampant throughout your environment.

Typhoid Fever

More than 100 years ago, a female cook in NYC (you may have heard of her – “Typhoid Mary”) infected about 50 fellow co-workers, starting the spread of this dangerous disease.

Typhoid is always a threat due to carriers already in our society… but at a much greater risk when sewage and water purification controls are wiped out – and can cause high fever, collapse, and death.

Treatment Of Deadly Water-Borne Diseases In A Disaster…

Given that medical treatment in the after-effects of a disaster will be scarce (or non-existent), you will most likely have to provide self-care for yourself or a loved one who had fallen ill from these horrible illnesses.

For the most part, you can get by with antibiotics and LOTS of hydration.

Of course, BOTH of those could be a real problem to get your hands on when hospitals are overrun, pharmacies have been looted and picked clean, and water sources are contaminated (which got you in this trouble to begin with).

This is why I always advise people to stockpile antibiotics for your own personal use in a crisis.

I buy mine on visits to Mexico where I can get them cheap at any local pharmacy without a prescription… or you can pick up some Fish-Mox (best for Typhoid) and Fish-Zole (best for Cholera) at a pet store that sells fish products since these “fish versions” are the same as our medical prescription antibiotics.

But the real key is to stop the diarrhea and stay hydrated… or you WILL die!

Having anti-diarrheal medicine is a MUST for your home supply (and your bug-out bag).

For hydration, an IV is really helpful here, but few people have several bags of IV solution for hydration, nor do they know how to administer it.

Again, this is why it’s so critical to have an endless source of clean, drinkable water to avoid deadly dehydration.

Filters can really help, but most don’t work where there are chemical spills contaminating water – a really big problem people don’t realize happens in “super storms”.

The best thing you can do is be sure you have filters that can truly clean your water, no matter what the contaminant.

If you can't have an endless supply of clean water, then at the very least be sure at all times to have a good supply of bottled water in your home, and make sure you rotate the stock every so often so that it's good and fresh.

For so many people in the U.S., clean water is so plentiful and readily available that we rarely, if ever, pause to consider what life would be like without it…and once it's unavailable things can (and will) go south FAST.

But if you remember these tips and plan ahead, you can be ready BEFORE things go bad!

Civil Unrest: Sneakiest Escape And Evasion “Riot Defense Trick” EVER!

Riots / Civil Unrest Escape & Evasion Trick
Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson, Editor

I'm about to show you what could possibly be the sneakiest escape and evasion trick for riot defense you've ever seen.

As you've seen on the news time after time, whenever there's a breakdown in rule of law, people go absolutely bat-sh*t crazy.

Looting… setting cars on fire… throwing rocks… shooting in the air… and even attacking innocent civilians.

They realize that when the police are overwhelmed and there's no one to stop them and it's a free-for-all “anarchy party”.

If you and your family are suddenly caught in the rampage – either because you were out and about when an instant “flash mob” riot breaks out or if roving bands of looters come to your front yard, then…

Here's A Sneaky “Escape And Evasion” Trick To Protect Yourself In A Riot

Riots / Civil Unrest Escape & Evasion Trick
Riots / Civil Unrest Escape & Evasion Trick

Now first I have to warn you…

The “trick” I'm going to teach you is something you'd ONLY do if you were facing serious violence and being targeted by looters, gangs, or adrenaline-junkie rock-throwers during a breakdown.

You see, the thing about thugs like these is that they know that the stakes are much higher if they attack a police officer than it is to attack a regular citizen.

They know…

… cops remember what they see…

…they never stop tracking someone who's harmed them…

…and they're trained, ARMED and deadly!

So let's say you're caught up in a flash mob attack during a post-disaster crime spree and you're cornered by a gang of scumbags as you try to escape to safety.

Now you “could” try to fight your way out of the attack… maybe even pull out a concealed pistol?

But this could make you even more of a target for an ambush later on – either for revenge or to steal your weapon (a hot post-disaster commodity)

Here's what I would do…

Reach behind me on my belt and pull off my shiny gold “badge”… stick it out forcefully in front of me… and yell…

BACK OFF! Just go your way and I'll go mine and neither of us need to make this an issue. Got it?”

Then you just back out to safety as you assume their agreement while they're gathering from the shock of not knowing what to do.

Now, let me be clear…

…I'm NOT saying to impersonate an officer!

But, assuming that police aren't the target of the attacks, having a badge that “looks” like an officer's badge could ward off attackers who wouldn't think twice about victimizing a defenseless citizen… but will go look for an easier mark if they think they're facing a seasoned cop.

You can order these types of badges online and choose any version that's NOT a real law enforcement badge, like…

  • A “concealed carry” badge
  • Private Investigator badge
  • Even a Security Guard badge

THESE are the type of “sneaky tricks” you need to know for scenarios like mob attacks… demonstrations gone wild… food-shortage overthrows… and post-disaster looting sprees.

That's why I want you to pick up a copy of the “Social Chaos Escape & Evasion” package.

It's like having your very own “little black book of magic tricks” to get you and your family to safety in a breakdown in civil order.

You can pick up the entire package here…

In case you haven't seen the news lately… it's a pretty dangerous place out there.

So NOW is the time to prepare, right?

Our Social Chaos Escape & Evasion package will be your favorite guide in your library as soon as you start reading!

Quick Tip: The Safest Seat On An Airplane! Plus More Survival Tips On Our Facebook Page!

Surviving A Plane Crash

I found this study interesting…

Do you fly?

I do, so I think about this kind of thing all the time.

Basically, the study reveals the best seats to sit in to survive if you're ever in a plane crash.

Check out this diagram and see how you can plan for your own survival when booking a flight.

But what about if you're NOT seated in the”high survivability” area?

After all, you don't always get the seat or location you want.

Well, I have a little trick for that…

Quick Tip: The Safest Seat To Survive A Plane Crash

Surviving A Plane Crash
Surviving A Plane Crash

When comparing the aisle versus the window no matter where you are on the plane, you're actually safer in a window seat.

Why?

Because if the plane ever goes down and you need to evacuate it quickly before it catches fire or goes underwater, everyone will panic and be rushing toward the aisle to get to the exits.

But if you're seated in a window seat and relatively close to an exit door, you can step over the seats in front of you as those panicked passengers are pushing their way toward the aisle.

Sneaky, eh? 🙂
