Active Shooter Defense: Are Terrorists Taking Notes On This Evac Danger?

Active Shooter Evacuation Danger
Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson, Editor

Sometimes, movies scare me for all the wrong reasons.

Last weekend I was re-watching a couple of those Gerard Butler “Has Fallen” movies.

You know, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, etc., where he fakes an American accent and personally stabs to death every single terrorist for a 10 mile radius?

But there was a scene in one of them that reminded me of an article firearms expert Greg Ellifritz wrote not long ago.

His article was all about the danger of evacuating into parking lots and other obvious locations – and seeing a scene like that in the movie really chilled me.

Because, honestly, I wonder sometimes how many terrorists and active shooters out there are watching these movies and taking notes…

Are Terrorists Taking Notes On This “Active Shooter” Evac Danger?

Active Shooter Evacuation Danger
Active Shooter Evacuation Danger

Now, just like the movies show (and as the article I mentioned discussed in depth), the primary reason you need to be careful not to evacuate into a parking lot in an “active shooter” (or even a bomb threat) situation…

…is because terrorists might anticipate that, and plan accordingly!

In whichever Gerard Butler movie it was that I saw (honestly, it's all a blur), the bad guys mount a major attack.

As first responders and law enforcement start to gather in a parking lot, outside the place where the attack has happened…

…the cars in the parking lot start to EXPLODE!

You can imagine the type of horror that would be – with people who are trying to rescue and treat the wounded suddenly coming under another attack.

The thing is, this is not a new technique.

Terrorists have long known that constructing a one-two punch can drive victims into a “kill zone”, with the two attacks amplifying each other.

This increases the devastation, making both attacks together worse than they would be separately.

But if you hadn't seen this in a movie, would you know to worry about it?

That's my point.

The public didn't know to worry about hijacked planes being used as missiles before September 11th, 2001.

But at some point, the people who conceived of that attack had to imagine it.

They had to sit in a room and figure out how to find new ways to create social chaos.

And THAT is why I spend so much time sitting at my desk, imagining new ways that your life could be endangered by social chaos and collapse – and how you could escape and evade that danger.

You could drive yourself nuts watching movies, reading books, combing the news, and staring at YouTube “conspiracy” videos, trying to anticipate these dangers so you can prepare for them.

But you don't have to, because I've done it for you.

My “urban escape and evasion” manual shows you how to protect yourself and your family from social chaos, active shooters, terrorism, riots, and other threats that can erupt without warning.

(It's LOADED with sneaky tips, methods, tactical strategies, and moves for dealing with ANY situation in which you're in danger of attack by individuals or a group of people during collapse, riots, civil unrest, and martial law, too.)

These threats are only too real – and it's NOT just something movie producers think about.

The terrorists, the nuts, the “lone wolf” active shooters, and even entire mobs of violent protesters are all out there, just waiting for their moment.

Learn how to protect yourself and your family now so you don't get caught unaware by these dangers.

It's the only way to survive in this new, violent world we're living in.

Urban Escape & Evasion Driving Tips: Father Attacked By Gang In Car!

Urban Escape And Evasion Driving

The young husband and father was just minding his own business as he was driving home from work one night…

It was dark out – especially on the remote New Mexican desert road – and he barely noticed the car coming toward him in the opposite lane because its lights were completely off.

As a “common” courtesy, he flashed his lights to let the other drive know he needed to turn his headlights on.

Looking in his rear-view mirror, he saw the car turn his lights on.

But What Happened Next Was Completely Unexpected… And Nearly DEADLY!

Urban Escape And Evasion Driving

The other vehicle suddenly did a split-second U-turn and began picking up speed to close in on the father’s bumper.

Veering into the opposite lane and stepping on the gas, the vehicle pulled up alongside as a passenger in the back seat thrust a handgun out the window and fired at the father who simultaneously slammed on his brakes to avoid a crash (and a bullet)!

Fortunately the other vehicle didn’t pull back around for a second shot and sped off down the remote highway.

This scenario could have spelled D.E.A.T.H. for a loving husband and father who was only trying to be an friendly driver – and is a good example of why YOU need to add “escape & evasion driving” to your survival toolbox…

This was a true story I discovered in my rough “armpit” of a town I lived in during my time in New Mexico where local gangs (we had 4 of them – and they were rough!) ruled the roads.

These gangs would initiate new members by driving around with their lights off.

The first oncoming car that flashed its lights as a “friendly heads up” would become the “target car”.

The gang would circle around and the new member's role was to shoot at the car…

…no matter WHO was in it!

These are very real scenarios that you MUST prepare for… as well as others…

For example, what if you were:

  • Harassed on the road by a group of thugs on a drunken joy ride?
  • Being chased by a fuming driver on the highway who you mistakenly cut off and he's trying to run you down?
  • Trapped in an urban area during civil unrest as anarchists stop cars and attack drivers?

Now “evasive driving” DOESN'T mean you have to have a fast car and go to bodyguard school.

In fact, here are 4 tips you can master right now for “escape & evasion” driving skills when you're being chased by a car full of attackers:

1. “Speed” is not necessarily your friend

The one who survives a high speed car chase isn't usually the fastest, it's the one who doesn't crash.

Watch those idiots being chased by police on shows like “Cops” and those crazy “caught on video” shows and you'll see that all the police have to do is follow the perp until he wraps himself around a telephone pole and then put the cuffs on him.

In a chase, try not to travel over 65mph to make sure you can handle your car effectively on the turn of a dime.

2. Turn when they can't

Rather than try to outrun someone, let them get close enough to you and then take a quick, last minute turn in a different direction.

Action is faster than reaction.

If they're behind you, they won't be able to respond in time to take the same turn you just did.

They'll either crash or have to back up to follow you and by then, you'll be long gone.

3. If on a highway, take a 4-lane exit

If you're being chased by someone on the highway, identify an upcoming exit and move to the far LEFT lane.

With your pursuer close behind you, make sure you have clearance and at the last minute, shoot across all 4 lanes to barely make your exit.

It will be difficult for them to back up, especially in the left lane against traffic, to follow you.

4. Distract the driver

This is one of my favorite tricks…

If you're driving at night, reach under your seat and pull out a 2- to 5,000,000 candlepower spotlight. (You can get these from any boating or auto store.)

Shine it behind you at the driver and you'll instantly blind him.

He'll likely stop the car out of sheer panic of crashing (which he may do).

These are just a few of the tricks you can use to escape from someone while you're in your vehicle.

For even sneakier tactics, there's a whole section on “survival driving” in our “urban escape and evasion” manual you can see here…

It's loaded with tactical strategies not just for driving, but for dealing with ANY situation where you're targeted for an attack by a group of people during collapse, riots, civil unrest, and martial law.

Unfortunately, these type of events have become more and more common… and most people have no idea how to survive these scenarios.

Don’t be one of them.

Shameless Looters! What They Did In This 89 Y.O. Woman’s Home Will P*ss You Off…

Home Looting Hurricane Harvey

89 y.o. Michelle Poche had trouble getting around so she insisted on ignoring the evacuation order to stay in her home when Hurricane Harvey hit her local area.

Her neighbors stayed behind as well.

Their goal was to protect their home and also be there for the elderly Michelle if she needed anything.

After the storm and flooding, one of the neighbors waded through the waters to go check on her.

What did they find?

The senior citizen had drowned… with her phone after just dialing 911.

But that wasn’t all they discovered, and…

Most People Aren't Prepared For What Neighbors Found Waiting In This 89 y.o. Woman's Home…

Home Looting Hurricane Harvey
What's The Best Way To Defeat Looters After A Disaster?

Of course, “death” is as bad an ending as you can get to this heart-wrenching story.

Especially given all the rioting and looting we're seeing now, I thought this story was worth recounting.

An elderly woman… all alone… watching the waters slowly rise in her home.. desperately dialing for help that will never come!

But there's a deeper, more disgusting element to this story that offers a valuable lesson in what to expect in the after-effects of any kind of disaster or crisis…

You see, her entire home had been ransacked by looters who took whatever valuables they could find while the dead body of the 89 y.o. woman floated right next to them in 4 ft. of water!

Having personally seen the direct results of disaster 2 years ago (where we lost 12 men, women, and children when a 50’ wall of water flooded our little town in the early morning hours), I can tell you there are 3 things you can count on

1. Neighbors will “try” to help neighbors.

Most people really DO have the best of intentions.

Sadly though, when it comes to life-or-death decisions, it’s “everyone for themselves”.

It’s best to pull together and face a crisis as a “team” – but you can’t count on it.

2. Looters!

They have no morals… no fear… and their only goal is to take advantage of the “sheep” of our society during hard times.

If you appear weak, they will target you.

Dead or alive.

With law enforcement taking part in rescue missions, there will be no rule of law to hold them accountable.

3. Everyone can FAIL you!

Your 911 call will go unanswered… or fall on deaf ears.

98% of your fellow citizens will be unprepared for even the smallest disaster.

During catastrophic scenarios, first-responders will be forced to do the best they can to rescue those who are trapped in cars… attics… on top of homes…

… and for many – like for 89 y.o. Michelle Poche – help will come too late.

Bottom line is this…

During ANY disaster or crisis, the only one who can look out for you… is YOU!

Not your neighbors… not the police… not the government.

When it’s life-and-death, it’s a dog-eat-dog world and it’s YOUR eyes your loved ones will be looking into for saving.

Unfortunately, most people (even experienced “preppers”) don't understand the right way to set up your survival plan based on real-world scenarios.

There's frankly too much “fantasy survival” crap littering the internet and steering people in the wrong direction.

Make sure you're not falling for all the “zombie survival b.s.” when putting together your plan, and just take it one step at a time.

You'll get there. 🙂

Looting/Looter Threat: Pandemic COWARDS Targeting Your Family!

Looting and Social Chaos: The Pandemic Coward Threat

I have to tell you, I thought I'd seen just about everything when it comes to how awful people can be.

The COVID-19 pandemic has lowered the bar for the worst-of-the-worst, though.

What am I talking about?

Well, a news report came out just a couple weeks ago that said “pandemic looters” – really, pandemic COWARDS – have been targeting the weakest citizens for mugging and robbing:

Elderly women.

The threat, however, is not just about “grandma”. . .

This is actually just the beginning of a much LARGER threat that we ALL have to be on guard for.

The “Pandemic Coward” Threat To You And Your Family!

Looting and Social Chaos: The Pandemic Coward Threat
Looting and Social Chaos: The Pandemic Coward Threat

When I was in the military, I saw this first hand in “third world” locations.

As the normal rule of law starts to break down – and as people start to think that the “rules don't apply to them” (because the authorities are stretched thin, or society itself is unraveling) – the cowards become more bold.

By cowards, I mean the people who take advantage of a crisis – like this pandemic – to prey on those they think are weaker.

And when I saw this news article out of California, I realized we were seeing the beginning of the same thing:

Police in San Francisco reported at the end of last month that there had been several violent robberies of elderly women – done at gunpoint, sometimes by shoving these 70- and 80-year-old women to the ground.

They specifically said that these are thugs taking advantage of the pandemic, targeting isolated women in this time of “social distancing.”

At the same time, there has been a surge in home invasions during the shelter-in-place order, as well as burglaries of locked-down commercial establishments.

And that's how it starts.

We've let countless violent prisoners out of jail in an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

A lot of THOSE criminals have committed new crimes (up to and including murder).

And the “street predators” out there, who start with elderly women because these victims offer the least resistance, are getting more and more bold in the houses they break into.

In other words, first they attack the elderly… then they break into empty businesses… and then they invade occupied homes… all while the police are busy enforcing “social distancing” policies somewhere else!

In other words, you cannot afford to shelter in place and think the danger out there won't come to your door.

The chaos all around us – the unraveling of our society caused by this pandemic – will eventually get better.

But until it does – and we may be a ways off from turning the corner on that yet – you and the people you love are in danger.

To outsmart this social chaos, you've got to know clever, sneaky ways to detect, avoid, and fight back against these threats.

Again, I've seen this type of chaos with my own eyes – and it's exactly the sort of thing I talk about in my “urban escape and evasion manual.”

The book shows you how to protect yourself and your family from looters, home invaders, and even civil unrest and riots

Looter Social Chaos Home Invasion Threat

Thirty million people unemployed.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Right now, we're seeing a “perfect storm” of conditions that will create civil unrest and social chaos…

…While raising the chances of looting and home invasion THROUGH THE ROOF.

And that's why we need to talk about…

The Looter Threat Sitting In Your Driveway

Looter Social Chaos Home Invasion Threat
Looter Social Chaos Home Invasion Threat

I don't need to tell you that this pandemic has gone on long enough to make people desperate.

On top of that, the food supply chain has taken a hit, which is going to cause shortages.

(Already, some Wendy's restaurants have had to take beef off the menu because their supplier can't provide it.)

At the same time, protests are breaking out in state after state, as people SCREAM to go back to work.

And the police?

They've turned to berating people for not social distancing… and, in one viral video, beating up bystanders who interfere with social distancing arrests (at least in one case in New York).

All this is a deadly formula for social chaos.

We're not just talking about riots; we're talking about people coming into your home to take what they need.

With all these stresses on people, and with all the threats in the media, more and more they're going to start looking to TAKE what they want and need from people who have it.

But that brings me to the threat sitting in your own driveway that could bring looters to your door: your own vehicle!

Firearms Stickers: The Social Chaos Looter Threat In Your Driveway
Firearms Stickers: The Social Chaos Looter Threat In Your Driveway

Too many of us are rocking stickers on our vehicles that proclaim our hobbies and memberships.

I've written before about how those “family stickers” can tip off home invaders to the presence of spouses and children in your house.

Well, one of the most attractive “steal-me” items to a looter or home invader is your guns – which means a gun sticker, or NRA membership decal on your car or truck is like ringing the dinner bell to a thief!

I know: you think of your gun as something you use to protect yourself.

But if a determined home invader or looter targets you for your guns, he's going to be extra fast and extra vicious in bringing the pain to neutralize you.

You have what he wants – something he can use to take stuff from other people, and something that he can sell for plenty of cash to other looters just like him.

Making sure you don't tip off other people to the fact that you're armed is just one of TONS of tips and tricks for protecting your family from social chaos.

Whether it's the looters who might come to your door… or the riots taking place in the street outside… this is an incredibly dangerous time for all of us.

All it takes is ONE trigger to ignite a complete breakdown in civil order before cop cars are being tipped over in the streets and buildings set on fire… triggering riots, martial law, etc.

In fact, we're already seeing the beginning of this, which means you've got to take action NOW to protect yourself and your loved ones.

My “urban escape and evasion” manual shows you how to do that.

It's LOADED with sneaky tips, methods, tactical strategies, and moves for dealing with ANY situation in which you're in danger of attack by a group of people during collapse, riots, civil unrest, and martial law…

Learn how to protect yourself and your family now so you don't get caught unaware.

It's the only way to survive this pandemic and get through to something closer to “normal” for all of us.

Multiple Attacker Gange Assaults: How NOT To Get Stomped To Death!

Multiple Attacker Gang Assault Defense: How NOT To Get Stomped To Death
Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson, Editor

It's the worst-case scenario in a street fight: Ending up on the ground.

When you're on the ground, you're in very big danger of getting stomped to death.

That's especially true if your attacker has buddies.

Once you're down they'll be more than happy to jump in.

And that means they'll put the boots to you while you can do NOTHING.

So how do you protect yourself where groundfighting is concerned?

I talked to expert Nick Farooqui about groundfighting survival tips, and here is a summary of what he had to say.

How NOT To Get Stomped To Death!

Multiple Attacker Gang Assault Defense: How NOT To Get Stomped To Death
Multiple Attacker Gang Assault Defense: How NOT To Get Stomped To Death
Nick Farooqui

The fact is, there is no secret to staying off the ground.

No matter how hard you try, eventually, you'll make a mistake and end up there.

You also might be taken by surprise and tackled to the ground before you have time to think about what to do.

There are infinite variables.

Environmental awareness is critical.

Eventually, though, you could end up on the ground when your attacker isn't.

That's when things could get deadly… because when you're on the ground and he is standing, he could stomp you to death.

Here are three tips you need to remember when fighting on the ground:

1. You Can't Move And Stand At The Same Time

The objective of street grappling and groundfighting is to GET BACK ON YOUR FEET AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Only when you are on your feet do you have the maneuverability to get out of trouble.

When you're on the ground, you are a target.

But… you can't move and stand at the same time.

The two are mutually exclusive.

If you try to move and stand, you'll end up getting knocked down and overwhelmed.

THAT will lead to getting stomped to death.

Focus on getting to your feet, THEN moving out of danger.

2. Always Read The Situation

This raises the critical question, though:

How do you know when your opening happens so you can get back on your feet?

It hinges on awareness.

Awareness can make a huge difference.

Read the situation to find your openings.

You've got to wait for an opportunity so you don't just get kicked unconscious when you try to get up.

When you try to get back to your feet, it has to be when you have the opening to do so — not when you're just giving him a chance to kick your lights out.

3. Do NOT Get Knocked Out

If you get knocked out, that's it.

You're going to get stomped into the dirt.

When you're unconscious, you are completely helpless…

…and we've seen too many cop-car dashcam videos of what happens to cops, training professionals, who make the mistake of getting knocked out.

To stay awake, you've got to protect your head, throat, and lungs.

These are all vulnerable points that, when struck, could lead to getting knocked out.

You've got to stay awake to stay alive!

Keep these tips in mind if you ever find yourself on the ground.

They could be the difference between surviving and getting stomped to death.

Benghazi Riot Tips For EDC Gear – Escape And Evasion For Mob Violence

Benghazi Riot Defense Tips: EDC Gear For Escape And Evasion in Mob Violence

Jeff Anderson

On the night of September 11th, 2012, in Benghazi, Libya, an armed mob of militants attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex.

A team of six American security operators went beyond the call of duty — and in fact disobeyed “stand down” orders they knew they couldn't live with —  to courageously venture into the mass chaos in order to save the Americans trapped by the violent mobs.

The battle lasted for several hours and has become a political football, with both sides of the aisle trying to place blame or rationalize their role in the security lapses that led to so many American deaths.

The truth behind what REALLY happened is now being recounted by the security team who had their boots on the ground, in a new book called “13 Hours”.

But lost in all that political infighting is the fact that the Benghazi attack can teach us very valuable lessons about surviving civil unrest.

The events that unfolded in Libya represent the worst-case scenario you may face even as a civilian during times of collapse where you be looking out your window at Ferguson-type protests, unrest, violent mobs, no “rule of law”… and no help on the way.

One man who has been through that very event is Kris Paronto.

I asked Kris what type of EDC gear a person should carry to be better prepared for riots and civil unrest.

Here is what he had to tell me…

Everyday Carry Survival Gear For Escaping & Evading A Riot!

Benghazi Riot Defense Tips: EDC Gear For Escape And Evasion in Mob Violence
Benghazi Riot Defense Tips: EDC Gear For Escape And Evasion in Mob Violence
Kris Paronto
Kris “Tanto” Paronto

When it comes to escaping and evading a riot or “flash mob”, your gear isn't your primary consideration…

… it's being aware of your surroundings and identifying threats around you before they become a crisis you have to escape from.

Keep your eyes and ears open to warning signs others may not notice.

However, if civil unrest does happen, there are some things you can be carrying that will help you to get out of the immediate area and get to safety.

Here are five items to consider for your everyday carry survival gear…

1. Backup Cell Phone

You should, obviously, be carrying a cell phone to be able to call for help (police, medical, etc.).

But there might be the case where you want to call in a tip about a riot, but you don't want to have to give your name because doing so might put you in danger.

Yes, these are extreme circumstances, but depending on your role (like for military contractors), this is a very real possibility.

If this is the case, you should consider carrying a backup – preferable a prepaid “burner” phone that's not tied to your identity.

Sometimes I keep my phone in my car and sometimes I even keep the backup on me.

In addition, if your phones are on different networks, one might work even if the other has failed or doesn't have coverage.

2. A Man-Purse Or “Go Bag”

You should have a go-bag.

You could keep a variety of things in that, included a tourniquet.

I’ll be honest; maybe that’s the worst case scenario, but I do, because I’ve seen where they were needed and where they save people’s lives.

I have had the luxury of putting them on too, so I do know they work.

I use a camera bag as my go bag.

It's low profile, looks like something anyone could be carrying, and doesn't scream “tactical prepared military operator.”

The idea is simply to have what you need in an envelope that allows you to carry it with you easily.

3. Something To Eat And Drink

When you’re really faced with a flash mob, you may want to have some water with you.

You may not be able to get to a water source if you're avoiding a mob.

The last thing you want to do is reveal your presence, or make yourself more vulnerable, because you are wracked with thirst.

Having some food with you is also a good idea, for the same reason.

You could keep some candy bars and some gum in your car, in your go-bag, or even on your person.

You don't know how long you might need to be on the run, and you don't know if you might get stuck somewhere.

Having a little food and water can give you a burst of energy and make it easier for you to keep a low profile while danger passes.

4. A Weapon

Now, obviously, if you can legally carry, you should be.

It makes sense to carry a gun when you can because the police can't be there fast enough to help you.

But you do need to be trained with that weapon.

Don’t just carry and think that you’re going to be able to pull that gun out and use it.

If you have not trained with it, then nine times out of ten you’re going to fail with it when it’s time to use it.

So you’ve got to be, not necessarily an expert, but just know and be familiar with what you’re carrying.

Have a holster that you’re using, that you’re used to as well.

Don’t feel uncomfortable carrying it.

If you feel uncomfortable when you’re carrying it, chances are you probably shouldn’t be carrying it, because you won’t use it when stuff starts to go bad. You’ll lock up.

5. A Knife And Multitool

Finally, you should carrying a Leatherman or a knife or tool or something like that.

Say you're stuck in your vehicle and have to cut your way past the seatbelt.

You need to have a knife to do that.

A Leatherman is good because it has so many tools available for whatever you might face.

A Swiss Army Knife is good for the same reason.

It doesn't have to be anything exotic or military-styled.

It just has to have the tools you might need.

What it comes down to is that sometimes, you just need to be prepared.

Bad things can and do happen to us.

That's a little pessimistic, but it's kind of where we're at in today's society.

You need to prepare ahead of time for flash mobs and riots.

There are LOTS of reasons this is true.

But WHY do you need to do it?

How should you train for long-range handgun shooting?

He was talking about the notorious MS-13 gang — founded in Los Angeles in the 1980s and believed to have as many as 10,000 members in the U.S.

MS-13's members are known for their distinctive tattoos… and for their extreme criminal activity, best summed up by the gang's motto: “Mata, roba, viola, control” (Kill, steal, rape, control).

They're vicious… they're organized… they're feared… and they're EFFECTIVE in ensuring the survivability of their gang by making it well known that they are NOT to be f*cked with!

While I would never elevate the status of these complete wastes of oxygen, there are some critical lessons I feel you need to be aware of in what you can expect from the potential for violence following any kind of wide-scale disaster, collapse, or other crisis, so and here are…

Combat Survival Secrets Of The MS-13 Gang

Machete Combat Secrets Of MS-13
Combat Survival Secrets Of The MS-13 Gang

1. Safety In Numbers

Gangs band together for strength.

In any kind of collapse, emergency, or extended shutdown of infrastructure, gangs already established will have the advantage (including criminal gangs, motorcycle clubs, and patriotic “militias”).

In the world's most dangerous environments, there is safety in numbers… and people band together along some tribal or shared line in order to protect themselves (just like criminals do in prisons).

You need to make sure, when things get bad, that you've got your own “tribe” of allies who can help back each other up.

That's why survival groups are so important.

2. Project A “Badass Appearance”

You've seen the pictures just like I have.

MS-13 gang members can be spotted immediately by their fierce facial and body tattoos.

These tattoos show the world around them who they are… and to fear them.

Now, you aren't going to run out and get a bunch of Mike Tyson tribal tats on your face… but you don't have to.

You DO need to know how to project confidence, and to walk through dangerous areas like you're aware of your surroundings and not an easy target.

As the old saying goes, “If you look like food, you will be eaten.”

3. Be Prepared To Abandon “Humanity”

Trump himself said it in reference to MS-13: These are animals, and they want you to think of them that way.

They use that fear to tell you, “Don't mess with us,” because they know how fast human beings can turn aggressive.

This isn't a “gang secret” — it's simply called survival.

During a recent emergency in which a tourist cruise ship got stuck without power, passengers were stranded aboard with dwindling resources.

It was only a matter of days before fights broke out among passengers trying to get to the last of the food and water while frightened tourists barricaded themselves in their cabins.

You need to be prepared to defend against your neighbors and fellow citizens, who were “normal, civilized human beings” before things got desperate.

4. Know Your Weapons – And How To USE Them…

“Machetes, that's one of their weapons of choice,” former police officer Mark Stephens said in a Newsweek article about MS-13. “Machetes and guns, and that's only if they want you to die quickly.”

Stephens was talking about an incident in which MS-13 gang members EXECUTED one of their own members with a machete… to send a message.

They know just how powerful and fearsome the machete is…

… and so do I…

When I was in the military, the machete was MY personal back-up weapon, too… especially in combat.

Of course, just as with ANY weapon (knife, gun, whatever), it's only as effective as the person who wields it, right?

I feel so strongly about this that I spent 3.5 years training in the legendary “Gatka” sword-fighting system of the legendary Sikh warriors…

…then another 2 years fine-tuning our own “Combat Machete” system, integrating elements of African and Central American machete arts (where real-world machete fighting is extremely common!), creating the ultimate fighting system that anyone can master in as little as 7 days.

If you're serious about bladed weapons for self-defense – especially the machete – you might want to check out our free survival weapons guide you can get here…

You'll then get the opportunity to get advanced training that shows you how to expertly wield 2 machetes at the same time… and multiple attacker techniques that are simple to train with and will truly make you a badass with any sword or machete.

I think you'll be surprised at how fast you pick it up (and no “face-tats” necessary! hahahaha).

The Best Survival Weapons Plan For Bugging Out Vs. Bugging In

Building your survival weapons arsenal is NOT a “one-size fits all” scenario.

You obviously will have different circumstances during a post-disaster crisis based upon the conditions you find yourself in.

Therefore, you need a different defense plan for the threats you may face, right?

Let's take a look at the differences and let me help you with…

What's The Best Survival Weapons Plan For Bugging Out vs. Bugging In?

Ok first, let's tackle your “bug-in” weapons considerations…

Bug-In Survival Weapons Considerations:

If you're not forced to evacuate your home and can “survive in place”, your major threat may be a “home invasion” style attack…

  • Looters coming to raid your home
  • Gangs targeting you and your family
  • Desperate “everyday citizens” seeking food

In this scenario, you have several options of “high-tech” weaponry you can use to protect yourself – such as a shotgun, or semi-automatic or even long-range bolt-action rifle.

Bug-Out Survival Weapons Considerations:

When you’re forced to evacuate your home due to natural disaster or the threat of chaos is just too close to trust that you’ll be safe in your home, your threats will come in a different form…

  • Predatory mobs of unprepared “survivors”
  • Roaming packs of dogs turned wild & vicious
  • Militia-style check-points expecting “payment”

For these types of threats – when you have no choice but to venture beyond the safety of your home – you’re going to need a different defense plan.

While a lot of “preppers” are fond of their AR-15 or other military-style rifle, how far do you think you’ll get walking down the street – or even in the woods – with a weapon slung over your shoulder?

You’re guaranteed to be stopped by authorities and have your firearm confiscated.

Or worse… be targeted by the “wolves” among us who will think nothing of ambushing you when you least expect it and take your weapon as their own.

To truly be prepared to defend yourself, you need to be much more “covert” so you’re armed and ready… and no one knows it.

Your weapons need to be easily concealed and yet able to launch into action if you’re ever stalked, ambushed, or mobbed outside of your home.

Your attackers will never know what hit them… but you gotta be smart when it comes to what you choose and carry.

Even if you regularly carry a concealed handgun, it may be fine for everyday use “today”… but the wrong choice for concealed carry after a disaster.

I can’t tell you how critical it is that you get this right!

In fact, a firearm may not even be your best survival weapon choice at all under certain circumstances.

That's why I always recommend taking a “layered” approach with your survival weapons arsenal.

My current plan uses a “12-layer” defense strategy.

Missing just one of these layers could literally mean the difference between life and death for you or someone who’s counting on you for protection.

Yes, it’s that serious!

Don’t take it for granted that you’re all set for a collapse simply because you “own a gun and know how to use it”.

You need to be smarter than that.

See what’s missing from your own weapons plan by comparing it side-by-side with my 12-layer survival weapons blueprint here…

I know you’ll be shocked at the gaps you find in your current plan.

It never fails. 🙂
