Academy Updates (And A Question)…

Hey there Warriors! Jeff here (well... you probably saw that from my profile, eh?) Some quick updates and a question for you... First, because we've been down a couple of positions on the WL team, it's added a couple of hats to my role. I'm managing to "keep up"... but not get to the "growth" items I've had in the plans. That's being fixed now... I have an entire tech team now focused on the new layout and design for the Academy. I've seen the work these guys do and they're great! I'm hoping to see some new work from them each week and to hit "go live" soon on the new look. I'm thinking of doing a group call with whoever wants to join so that you can see what's planned and also give me some feedback. (Let me know if you're interested.) I've also been looking to get back to the Fast-Classes for the Roadmap... but these other roles have put that on hold temporarily. I've been more focused on making sure we have our monthly workshops set up. Speaking of which... the guest expert I had scheduled for this month has been AWOL so I'm getting ready to film this month's training today and I'm looking to have it up by this evening... and this month's Mini-Mission ready this week as well. Stay tuned! And finally (for now) a question... I'm glad The Sanctum is back up and running for us to keep the conversation going... but "forums" aren't something I have top-of-mind. I've toyed with using a different platform that I DO already use so that I can be more active... but that does no good if none of YOU are used to those platforms, ya know? Soooo.... I'm trying to see which you'd prefer to use: 1. Slack 2. Discord 3. The Sanctum "As-Is" Thoughts?

I’m trying to see which you’d prefer to use:

    1. Slack
    2. Discord
    3. The Sanctum “As-Is”

    Thoughts?

Gee, do I get to be the first to answer?

I am an old guy. (A luddite.) Only got to use Volley because TJ took the time to talk me thru how to use it. I did like it because it notified me when something new went up. (Only recently has the SANCTUM started to do that.)

    To your questions:

    1. Slack. Do not know what it is.

    2. Discord. Also, do not know what it is. Sounds like a good title for a SF paperback.

    3. The Sanctum "As-Is." Still do not know how to initiate a conversation, but can reply to one started. Still cannot add a photo like I could in Volley (after instructions from TJ.)

    My thoughts.

PS. Mike Oxley (Mad Scientist of Shooting) is starting a new online interactive vision class. Suppose to be “WAY BEYOND” his “Automatic Aiming” and “See Quicker, Shoot Quicker.” classes. Could be used by firearms instructors when training shooters or for self use.
