When I first moved to drought stricken AZ I found a place that sold factory used food grade containers for cheap. Bought 2 55 gallon barrels for the garage and 10 5 gallon cubes for the closet. Our well also pumps into a 2000 gallon cistern buried next to the house but that may be a little more storage than you are looking for;)
