It seems like you have some background in radios. I got my ham license in 2020 and built an antenna that operates from 160m to 6m. and also have a few radios that operate on 2m and 70cm I have familiarized myself with some of the aspects of ham radio such that i will be comfortable communicating should it be the only means working. I’d love to help anyone who might be interested in learning more about it.
It all depends! If you have access to wood and want to travel light get a small metal grate. If you want to get fancy and reduce your visibility get a rocket stove or learn to build a dakota fire hole. Next after that, I'd look for a butane stove and plan to get 150% of the bottles you think you will need. If you think it may be for more than a few days, it may be wiser to try a white gas stove, it's easier to carry more fuel in one large gallon sized container along with two gas bottles to pump up (incase one gets a damaged o-ring). Lastly, if you think you'll want to cook for more people or don't plan on moving, a propane stove might be a better choice, bottles come in all sizes.
